We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
Save the date for an upcoming stakeholders conference on the Digital Competence Framework (DigComp) and the Entrepreneurship Competence Framework (EntreComp).
The event will be hosted by DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion of the European Commission in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Brussels on Friday, 12 May 2017.
Since 2015, DigComp has become a well-regarded reference framework for establishing a shared understanding of digital competences and supporting development of digital competences in the work place, in education and training, policy-making and more widely.
EntreComp, launched in 2016, has already had positive uptake by stakeholders and is supporting new thinking and understanding of what it means to be entrepreneurial and to have a sense of initiative in today's challenging and ever changing society.
The event will bring together stakeholders from every sector with an interest in these two key competences and seek to create a community around the frameworks to explore and advance the use of both.
A key feature of the event will be an exhibition session run during part of the day which will allow stakeholders to present information on how they have applied or used the frameworks in their work. The event will also contain a number of interactive sessions and presentations.
If you are interested in participating in the exhibition session during the day please complete the pre-registration form at the link here (exhibits should be clearly linked to the use of DigComp and/or EntreComp. Depending on numbers we may not be able to guarantee an exhibit place for all).
