We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
Every year, we at the JRC welcome almost 10 000 visitors who come to learn about our research activities and how science impacts our daily lives.
Many of these visitors are school students.
We organise guided visits for schools at our campus in Ispra (Northern Italy).
We invite students aged between 14-19. Group size may not exceed 50 students and needs to include at least one accompanying teacher for every 25 students.
A school visit lasts half a day (morning or afternoon) and includes:
Visits are free of charge. Schools will bear the expenses related to transport and accomodation.
EU4U - Schools Days
On the 2nd and 3rd of April we will host our Schools Days, with 500 students each day visiting the Ispra Site.
