JRC workshop on skills for evidence-informed policymaking

JRC workshop on skills for evidence-informed policymaking

In a world flooded with information and disinformation, providing, managing and making sense of knowledge for policy is as important as ever. With years of experience working at the intersection of science and policy, the Joint Research Centre recognises that this task is becoming a skilled profession in its own right. As such, it requires a professional skillset to equip evidence advocates in scientific or policy bodies to meet the challenges of the science-policy interface.

This workshop provides an opportunity to discuss what such a skillset should contain and how to introduce it in our organisations or networks. Acknowledging that evidence provision is a collective, iterative process, we also want to discuss best distribution of these skills within knowledge providing and using organisations, across the science-policy divide.
