The European Commission is organising a virtual workshop for Irish businesses on the new Access2Markets portal on Wednesday morning 9 December.

This new portal is an invaluable tool for companies looking to break into new markets or wanting to facilitate their international trade.

Date:
09/12/2020 - 09:00 to 13:00

This free virtual workshop will allow attendees to gain a deep understanding of the new portal and the tools it offers. A training kit wil be circulated after the workshop.

Please note that the workshop will be recorded and sent to participants in the training kit along with the PowerPoint presentation used during the workshop. The training kit will support participants in their own workshops and presentations on using the portal. The recording may also be used by the European Commission for information purposes and be made available publicly.

Registration: Anyone interested in attending should register via the following email address: workshops.access2markets@mcgroup.com

Places will be attributed on a first come first served basis. Attendees will receive a Webex link by e-mail to connect and take part in the virtual workshop.

Background information

Access2Markets is a comprehensive one-stop-shop for smaller companies to obtain information about trading conditions for importing goods into the EU and for exporting goods to over 120 foreign markets. It provides businesses with tailored information for their products in a few clicks as well as easy-to-read practical information on EU trade agreements, step-by-step guides, tutorials, video testimonials, and much more, in all official EU languages.

It also includes the new rules of origin self-assessment tool, ROSA, that filters and explains the rules on the ‘economic nationality’ of a product and offers a tailored checklist to help companies apply the rules. Businesses can also use the portal to report trade barriers they encounter.
