Financing the EU's External Investment Plan
The European Fund for Sustainable Development (EFSD) combines a new EFSD guarantee with blending activities in two Regional Investment Platforms (Africa and the Neighbourhood) to unblock bottlenecks to private investment by addressing the risks involved.
This guarantee will have a number of investment windows under which partial guarantees will be provided to a portfolio of investments made by public finance institutions and the private sector.
