How to apply

Applications must be submitted via the online Application form on EU survey.

The form contains a number of general questions on the programme. Specific details must be provided in an Excel spreadsheet to be downloaded, filled in with the relevant information and uploaded back to the system.

Please read thoroughly the Guide for applicants before working on the Application form. It will guide you step by step through the application documents and contains useful information on how to fill in the forms.

The assessment will be solely based on the information that you provide in the online Application form and the Excel spreadsheet. If you cannot provide the information required for a given aspect, please state clearly why (for instance, for legal conditions in your country).

Selection procedure

Eligible applications will be evaluated by academic experts assisted by representatives of the language industry who are members of the LIND Board. The academic experts will be selected by the DGT from a list drawn up following an open Call for assessors – EMT selection procedure 2018.

The Director-General of DGT will decide on EMT membership based on the results of the academic assessment. The selection decision is final and non-appealable.

Both successful and unsuccessful applicants will be informed of the outcome by a letter containing consolidated feedback from the assessors. The new list of EMT network members will published on the EMT webpage in June 2019.

Watch the recording of the EMT info session for more detailed information about the selection procedure.
