During EU Industry Days, matchmaking sessions will allow start-ups and social innovators to take their projects forward.

The first day will focus on open innovation and the second on social innovation.

The sessions will take place in room R6 at The Egg.

Day 1, Tuesday 5 February

Open innovation: how to grow and innovate your business through collaboration

  • 12.00 - 13.30

    Workshop

    ‘Open innovation’, and more specifically collaborating with start-ups, is a must for modern companies that want to stay ahead of the curve. During this workshop, participants will get the latest trends and data, and learn how to implement a successful open innovation plan. (This workship is open to all conference participants).

  • 13.30 - 14.30

    Lunch and networking

  • 14.30 - 18.00

    Matchmaking

    The workshop will be followed by matchmaking activities between corporations and start-ups. For logistical reasons, participation in the matchmaking session is restricted to a selected number of companies. Please fill out the matchmaking application form if you are interested in participating. 

Day 2, Wednesday 6 February: 

Social innovators matchmaking and pitching sessions with impact investors

  • 9.30 - 10.00

    Presentation of the Social Challenges Innovation Platform results.

  • 10.00 - 11.40

    Matchmaking

    In a speed-dating format, social innovators will have the chance to meet 10+ impact investors from different European impact funds. 5 minutes to present their solution and scaling-up plans! (This session is by invitation only). 

  • 11.40 - 12.00

    Coffee and networking

  • 12.00 - 13.30

    Pitching session

    The morning will end with a pitching session where 10 social innovators participating in the Social Challenges Innovation Platform will pitch their solutions to a panel of impact investors and will answer their questions  (event open to all conference participants).
