Biography

Virginie Dumoulin-Wieczorkiewicz is Director for European and International affairs in the French Ministry for an Ecological and Inclusive Transition and the Ministry of Territory Cohesion since 2017. She used to be Deputy Director for Water and Biodiversity issues, after having served as Head of division for water regulation and territorial action in this Directorate. During this period she has been widely involved in the definition of the national regulation on biodiversity restoration and landscapes and has also supervised several public technical establishments.

She held several positions in international affairs. She started her career in Brussels in the French Permanent Representation from 2002 and 2007, and then served in the French Embassy in Warsaw (Poland) as Energy Environment and Transportation Counselor. She was involved in the organization of  COP14-Poznan Climate Conference.

She holds both a law and political sciences degree, and graduated from the ENA.
