The MSCA-ITN personalised medicine cluster event will bring together participants in MSCA-ITN projects, representatives of the Research Executive Agency (REA) and of the European Commission and policy-makers supporting the development of personalised medicine.
The event will be organised back-to back with the ICPerMed workshop. A total of 14 MSCA-ITN projects participate in the cluster event.
Although there is no universally accepted definition, the Horizon 2020 Advisory Group has defined personalised medicine as "a medical model using characterization of individuals’ phenotypes and genotypes (e.g. molecular profiling, medical imaging, lifestyle data) for tailoring the right therapeutic strategy for the right person at the right time, and/or to determine the predisposition to disease and/or to deliver timely and targeted prevention".
The cluster event will be organised in Madrid at the National Institute of Health Carlos III.
