As part of the “New Deal for Consumers”, the Commission organises throughout 2018 a series of 'consumer dialogues' in the Member States using a country-by-country approach. The goal of the dialogues is to explain to people what the EU is doing for them as consumers and to listen to their views on how the EU can better tackle their concerns. As a follow-up to these Consumer Dialogues, the 2018 Consumer Summit ("Les Assises des Consommateurs"), planned to take place on 28 November 2018 will showcase the results of this outreach and offer the opportunity for debate and conclusions.
