Better regulation: why and how
The Commission is committed to designing and evaluating EU policies and laws transparently, with evidence, and backed up by the views of citizens and stakeholders.
Regulatory Scrutiny Board
The Regulatory Scrutiny Board is an independent body of the Commission that offers advice to the College. It provides a central quality control and support function for Commission impact assessment and evaluation work. The Board examines and issues opinions and recommendations on all the Commission's draft impact assessments and major evaluations and fitness checks of existing legislation.
