About this consultation
Stakeholders and citizens with an interest in climate policy and the implementation of the free allocation rules under the EU ETS.
Why we are consulting
The European Commission needs to develop several regulatory acts for the implementation of the fourth trading period of the EU ETS from 2021 to 2030. One of these acts will set the rules for adjusting free allocation due to activity level changes.
The revised Directive establishes the main rules but more detailed implementation requirements need to be determined for which several methodological choices are available. The European Commission seeks input regarding these choices.
