IN QUESTO PERIODO E' DOVEROSO AUMENTARE I CONTROLLI E RENDERE I DOCUMENTI DI VIAGGIO E DI SOGGIORNO PIU' SICURI PER COMBATTERE LE FRODI IN QUESTO SETTORE. TUTTE LE CARTE D'IDENTITA' DEI PAESI MEMBRI DELL'UNIONE EUROPEA DOVREBBERO ESSERE UGUALI E SODDISFARE GLI STESSI RIGIDI REQUISITI, SIA PER MOTIVI DI SICUREZZA CHE PER EVITARE RITARDI AL MOMENTO DELL'IMBARCO. ID card issued within Europe do not have a harmonized security level. Some are easier to falsify or counterfeit than others. Yet, they can all...

    European Organisation for Security (Belgium)

Currently there is no significant hard or soft law at EU level as regards format, security or process related issues for ID cards and residence documents issued to EU citizens and their family members. It is therefore neither necessary nor possible to include an option in this assessment which could aim to do less or simplify an existing EU framework. 2 out of 28 MSs do not issue ID Cards (Denmark and the United Kingdom). Their citizens travel...
