Who can be a partner?

Any company, research organisation or non-governmental organisation can be a partner, regardless of where they are based, provided they are financially viable and qualified to perform the tasks specified in the project proposal.

However, there must be proof of the operational and financial viability to carry out project tasks within the proposal.

Partner searches

Although you are free to find your own partners, there are various partner search services that can help you find organisations wanting to participate in proposals, or publish your own offers of collaboration.

Depending on the funding programme concerned (generally research and innovation programmes), national contact points (NCPs) also provide partner search services, offering detailed partner profiles and active partnership requests.

Examples include:

CORDIS Partner Service
One of the largest databases of partner profiles for research and innovation.

Idealist Partner Search
Mainly, but not limited to, ICT.

Enterprise Europe Network Cooperation Opportunities Database
Innovation and technology profiles from international companies and research organisations, - helps identify suitable partners for bilateral business, innovation and technology cooperation.
