This conference, organised by the OECD and hosted by European Commission, will discuss solutions and ways forward to improve the quality of regulations. It will have a particular focus on improving the efficiency of legislation and its capacity to address complex problems, while driving green growth and innovation. The “OECD report Better Regulation Practices across the European Union” will be launched at the Conference.
The event will feature as speakers Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, OECD Deputy Secretary-General and Chief Economist Laurence Boone, representatives of the European Parliament, the Council, the Committee of the Regions, the European Economic and Social Committee, and of civil society and business.
The general Conference will take place in Brussels on 28 June from 13:30 to 18:00 and will also be webstreamed due to the limited capacity of the conference venue. Invitations for the general conference will follow. More targeted discussions will follow on 29 June with OECD delegates only.
