This roundtable is a follow up of the first roundtable which took place on 24 May 2018 in Rome, and of the regional conference on Financing Energy Renovation of buildings in Italy, Croatia and Slovenia, which took place in Milan on 16 November 2017. The event is organised in partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development of Italy, the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development, the Italian Banking Association and the UN Environment Finance Initiative. It is part of the Sustainable Energy Investment Forums, which support the implementation of the Smart Finance for Smart Buildings initiative in the EU Member States.
The roundtable aims to initiate a dialogue between key Italian stakeholders on how to improve access to finance for energy efficiency investments, and to identify common objectives and potential improvements to be made in the current policy framework and business practices. The working sessions will focus on private home renovation, public buildings, and de-risking energy efficiency investments.
