The AGRI Innonation summit took place on 25 - 26 June 2019 in Lisieux and was co-organised by the French Ministry of agriculture and food, the association Régions de France, the Region of Normandy, the EIP-AGRI network and the European Commission. It brought together over 300 representatives from EIP-AGRI projects throughout Europe as well as local actors and experts.
The event focused on the contribution of the European Innovation Partnership on Agricultural Productivity & Sustainability (EIP-AGRI) for the transition to agroecology.
Various thematic issues were discussed and explored
- production systems to enable sustainable management of natural resources
- integrating agroecology within the value chain
- reducing inputs to increase autonomy of farms
- fostering knowledge sharing, co-creation and dissemination of innovation at all levels
Research and innovation is contributing to a more sustainable and ecological agriculture. The Agri Innovation Summit explores how with concrete examples.
