The 2nd Pan-European Cruise Dialogue will take place on 1 March 2022.

Commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius will host the event organised by the European Commission, Directorate General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE), with the assistance of the European Commission’s conference service.

The 2nd Pan-European Cruise Dialogue will build on the achievements of previous cruise dialogues organised by the European Commission since 2015 and will discuss sustainable cruise tourism for the years to come. The focus will be on on the eco-system of cruise tourism, including its economic, environmental and social sustainability, its governance structures, and the respect for local cultures.

The aim is to identify good practices that leverage partnerships of cruise tourism stakeholders, and to amplify joint efforts. Challenges of cruise destination management play a crucial role in this context. A broad range of stakeholders representing cruise lines, tourism authorities, municipalities, ports, tour operators, and European agencies will feed into the discussion.

The 2nd Pan-European Cruise Dialogue will include several keynote addresses and four panel sessions.
