The European Commission is organising several events as part of the India Smart Grid Week 2018 (ISGW). Dialogue and cooperation on smart grids is one of the priority activities of the EU-India Clean Energy and Climate Partnership, which was adopted at the 13th EU-India Summit in 2016.
EU – India Smart Grids Workshop (6 March)
Dialogue and cooperation on smart grids is one of the priority activities of the EU-India Clean Energy and Climate Partnership, which was adopted at the 13th EU-India Summit in 2016. Following four previous successful workshops, this event will bring together representatives of the Commission, the Indian government and Indian and European industry to focus on the challenges related to the smart integration of large amounts of distributed variable renewable energy production.
On 6 March the Commission will also host a dinner for speakers and delegates of ISGW.
Workshop on the EU – India Clean Energy and Climate Partnership (8 March)
This event will aim to clearly define an EU – India Clean Energy Investment Platform, which is to be launched later this year.
Meeting between European and Indian offshore wind stakeholders and experts (9 March)
The objective of this meeting will be to develop a roadmap and concrete deployment plan towards the establishment of India's first offshore wind park.

A conference on advanced bio-fuels jointly organised by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Energy and India's Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas will also be held in New Delhi on 7-8 March.
