Digital Single Market strategy
The Digital Single Market strategy is made up of three policy areas:
- better online access to digital goods and services
- an environment where digital networks
- services can prosper and digital as a driver for growth.
Within the partnership of the Urban Agenda for the EU on the digital transition, cities, EU countries and the European Commission work together to provide more efficient public services and a better knowledge exchange. They focus on future health and social care services, eGovernment, 5G, urban planning, future learning and skills development.

Advice and technical assistance
Urbis is a new dedicated urban investment advisory platform within the European Investment Advisory Hub. It is set up to provide advisory support to urban authorities to facilitate, accelerate and unlock urban investment projects, programmes and platforms.
ELTIS is Europe's main urban mobility observatory, which facilitates the exchange of information, knowledge and experiences in the field of sustainable urban mobility in Europe.
JASPERS is the 'Joint Assistance to Support Projects in European Regions', free of charge for local authorities and promotors, which advices cities and regions on strategic planning in a wide range of sectors. It supports the preparation of projects in areas benefiting from EU funds so they meet all the necessary standards.
fi-Compass is a platform for advisory services on financial instruments and is designed to support European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) managing authorities, Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) microfinance providers and other interested parties, by providing practical know-how and learning tools on financial instruments.
The Digital Cities Challenge is a tailored programme of coaching and facilitation launched by the European Commission to help 41 cities develop and implement digital policies that can transform day to day life for residents, businesses, workers, and entrepreneurs.

Foodakai-1: Feasibility Assessment of an Intelligent Consumer App for Early Warning on Food Threats
Foodakai harmonises and makes more user-friendly the discovery of information on foodborne diseases, food alerts, outbreaks and recalls.
Clarity – Open eGovernment Services
The CLARITY project seeks to support European Member States in their pursuit for greater trust, transparency and efficiency within government via the increase take-up of open government initiatives.
ICT-Enabled Social Innovation (IESI)
IESI aims to explores how ICT-enabled innovation can enhance integrated approaches to social services delivery in different welfare systems within the EU.
