- manage print and electronic collections including official EU publications; publications from businesses, universities, governments and intergovernmental organisations; periodical articles; material on European integration, policies and activities of EU institutions, and EU countries' institutional, legal and socioeconomic structures
- provide access to its collections to staff of the Commission and other institutions, trainees and registered external visitors specialised in EU affairs, such as university students, academic staff, and civil servants from member states
The Directorate-General for Education and Culture, manages the Library and e-Resources Centre.
