About this consultation
Responses to this consultation
Any interested party, including private citizens, companies, organisations, public authorities etc. are welcome to contribute to this consultation.
Objective of the consultation
Article 60(2a) of Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 on shipments of waste (Waste Shipment Regulation) calls upon the Commission to carry out a review of this Regulation by the end of 31/12/2020. In accordance with the Better Regulation Guidelines, an evaluation is the first step in this process. The purpose of the evaluation of the Regulation is to identify the good and bad practices in its implementation and assess whether this has met its objectives on the basis of five criteria (efficiency, effectiveness, relevance, coherence, EU-added value). This public consultation will assist in assessing whether and how the objectives of the Regulation may have been achieved. As such, it offers an opportunity for any interested party, including private citizens, companies, organisations, public authorities, etc. to submit a contribution by expressing an opinion and supplying useful information.

As part of the European Transparency Initiative, the Commission asks organisations (including NGOs, trade associations, enterprises etc.) who wish to participate in public consultations to provide the Commission and the public with information about whom and what they represent, their objectives, funding and structures, by registering in the Transparency Register and subscribing to its Code of Conduct.
If you are a registered organisation, please fill in your Register ID number in the questionnaire. Your contribution will then be considered as representing the views of your organisation.
If your organisation is not registered, you have the opportunity to register now. Then return to this page to submit your contribution as a registered organisation.
During the analysis of replies to a consultation, contributions from respondents who choose not to register will be treated as individual contributions (unless the contributors are recognised as representative stakeholders through Treaty provisions, European Social Dialogue, Art. 154-155 TFEU).
