Consultation outcome

Received contributions will be published on the Internet. See the privacy statement attached to this consultation for information on how your personal data and contribution will be dealt with.

The results of the public consultation will be taken into consideration for the preparation of the Commission report to the European Parliament and Council. This report is prepared in line with Article 14 of the Tyres Labelling Regulation.

Target group

All citizens and organisations with views on the EU tyres labelling scheme, including local authorities, local interest groups, SMEs, consumer organisations, trade unions, NGOs, environmental organisations, consultancies, workers and employers' federations, other relevant stakeholders and citizens.

Objective of the consultation

The aim of the public consultation is to gather the views and opinions of all interested citizens and stakeholders on the EU tyres labelling scheme by means of a questionnaire in a transparent way.

The consultation is also another important opportunity to gather further views and opinions from Member States, other public authorities, industry groups and NGOs, and other interested organisations.

This public consultation will ultimately inform the evaluation and impact assessment prepared by the Commission, which will be used to assess whether or not to propose a revised Regulation on tyre labelling. Any proposal for a revised Regulation would need to be discussed and adopted by the European Parliament and Council.

How to submit your response

We welcome contributions from citizens, organisations and public authorities through the online questionnaire (EUSurvey).

Received contributions will be published on the Internet. See the privacy statement attached to this consultation for information on how your personal data and contribution will be dealt with.

The questionnaire is available in all EU official languages but Gaelic. Replies are welcome in any official language of the European Union. Given possible delays in translating comments submitted in some languages, contributions in English are welcome, as they will help the Commission to process the survey more swiftly.

Additional information

Organisations, networks, platforms or self-employed individuals engaged in activities
aiming at influencing the EU decision-making process are asked to provide the Commission and the public at large with information about which interests they represent and how inclusive their representation is, by subscribing to the Transparency Register. Contributions from organisations and businesses who choose not to register will be processed as a separate category "non-registered organisations/businesses" unless they are recognised as representative stakeholders under relevant Treaty provisions.
When the Commission publishes a public consultation on the Europa 'Consultation Portal' or a roadmap or inception impact assessment on the dedicated webpage, this triggers an e-mail alert to registered organisations.
More info can be found on the Commission webpage on the Transparency Register.
