Directorate-General for Interpretation
The Directorate-General for Interpretation organises on-site training at universities and study visits in Brussels.
During a multi-day visit to your university, Commission trainers offer a selection of 13 modules for teachers and students, ranging from 'first steps in interpreting' to 'mock conferences' to 'how to organize a training session'.
During a 1/2-day to 3-day visit to Brussels, students learn about the recruitment and working conditions of EU interpreters and practice in a 'dummy' booth with a trainer.
European Anti-Fraud Office
A visit to the European anti-fraud office (OLAF) provides an understanding of their investigations into:
- fraud against the EU budget
- corruption and serious misconduct within the European institutions
- anti-fraud policy for the European Commission
Visits must be requested at least 10 weeks in advance.
