Support to Interim Deployment Steering Group (IDSG)/Interim Deployment Programme (IDP) coordination
The project brings together four major players in aviation: Eurocontrol, the European region of Airports Council International (ACI EUROPE), Air France and Lufthansa to support the Single European Sky initiative (SES), which aims to increase Europe's airspace capacity, reduce the risk of accidents and the environmental impact of flights and cut the costs for passengers.
Specifically, the project aims to facilitate the transition from the development to the deployment phase of SESAR, the EU's research programme for the modernisation of European air traffic management through the provision of coordinated support and input to the Interim Deployment Steering Group (IDSG) and its related entity (the IDSG Expert Team).
