Technological upgrading of Turin–Padua line: implementation of technologies for the efficiency of movement in the Milan Railway Hub


The Action is part of Global Project addressing the upgrade of the command and control system of the Torino–Milano–Verona–Padova railway line, part of the Mediterranean corridor.

In particular, the Action addresses the deployment of a remote control and command system covering the area of Milan.

The main Action's tasks are:

  • The preparation of 4 remote sites, including the installation of remote controlled devices;
  • The installation of 5 computer-based multi-station interlockings (ACCM) and of 1 computer-based supervision centre (SCCM) at the control and command centre of Milano Greco Pirelli;
  • The installation of a power supply and of an integrated circuit protection system for the provision of energy on all 4 remote sites and along the line, and
  • The deployment of optical fibre and G-Ethernet network connecting the remote sites with the control and command centre at Milano Greco Pirelli.
