Programme:

The project aims at significantly upgrading the Italian Air Traffic Management (ATM) infrastructure to remove current major shortcomings in capacity and safety to ensure maximum flight efficiency gains while maintaining the traditional concept of operation, based mainly on the airspace management.

The Action, which will be implemented by ENAV S.p.A., addresses the infrastructural implementation which will ensure ENAV ATM infrastructure readiness for the implementation of the new generation of ATM systems, its deployment and integration in the legacy of dependant surveillance Network (National ADS-B Implementation Plan).

The present Action is part of a trans-European project to support the early introduction of ATM Network infrastructure improvements and synchronised investment in air-ground infrastructure under the framework of the SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) Master Plan.
