Completion of final design of the Treviglio-Brescia Section, on the Milano-Verona high speed/high capacity line

Programme:

This project, part of Priority Project 6 (railway axis Lyon-Trieste-Divaèa/Koper-Divaèa-Ljubljana-Budapest-Ukranian border) concerns studies aiming at completing the final design of the Treviglio-Brescia section, on the Milano-Verona high speed/high capacity rail line.

The whole scheme covers 56 km, and is sub-divided into three different sections: a new 38 km alignment, a 14 km inter-connection with the existing line, and a 4 km access to the town of Brescia from the west. The line will be equipped with ERTMS, and the design will allow a speed of 250-300 km/h.
