Studies for preparation of approval of the railway line section Budapest-Keleti-Miskolc-Nyiregyhaza

Programme:

This project aims at upgrading the 262 km railway line between Budapest Rakos station (excluded) and Nyiregyhaza stations (excluded), part of Priority Project 6 (railway axis Lyon-Trieste-Divaèa/Koper-Divaèa-Ljubljana-Budapest-Ukrainian border). The project will enhance rail freight transport as well as improve local passenger service quality in terms of time savings and operating and maintenance costs.

 

The project encompasses the three following activities:

  1. Geodetic and geotechnical survey;
  2. Preparation of designs for approval of track, catenary, public lighting, switch heating, signalling system, telecommunications and structures and traffic plans, and
  3. Environmental impact assessment (EIA) study.

 

This project has been completed.
