Study on the rehabilitation of the railway line section Szajol-Záhony

Programme:

This project, part of Priority Project 6 (railway axis Lyon-Trieste-Divaca-Koper-Divaca-Ljubljana-Budapest-Ukranian border), involves studies for the upgrading of the railway track Szajol-Záhony to a speed of 160 km/h, double track and electric traction. The project also aims at enhancing traffic management and passenger safety.

 

The project encompasses the following activities:

  • Preparation of the design for approval for the section Szajol-Püspökladány;
  • Preparation of the design for approval for the section Püspökladány- Nyíregyháza;
  • Preparation of the design for approval for the section Nyíregyháza-Záhony
  • Preparation of ETCS signaling design, tender documentation and substations feasibility study for the whole line.

 

This project has been completed.
