Designs for the upgrading-completion of the Serres-Kavala axis (Phase A: Completion of 1st section Serres ring road)
This project concerns the necessary studies for the upgrade of the Serres ring road, part of the 90 km Serres-Kavala axis connecting the two main cities of Northern Greece with Priority Project 7 (motorway axis Igoumenitsa/Patra-Athina-Sofia-Budapest). The upgrade will transform the ring road into a four-lane carriageway (22.5 m wide with two traffic lanes and hard shoulder per direction) from the existing 15.5 km long, two lane road with grade level intersections.
The studies include an environmental impact assessment, hydraulic study, geotechnical investigations, highway study, preliminary and definitive studies of structures along the route.
