Over €560 m requested by applicants in H2020 energy calls

INEA has received 62 project proposals in the latest round of the Horizon2020 Low-Carbon energy calls for funding that closed yesterday. Over €560 m was requested by applicants, the total available budget is €138.3 m. According to estimates, up to twelve projects may be funded through these funds (indicative).

Successful projects will focus on smart city solutions, develop integrated local energy systems, test innovative smart grid services and work on biofuels for industrial installations.

The results of the evaluation will be known no later than 5 September 2018. The selection of projects will be carried out by external independent experts. These evaluators are drawn from the European Commission's database.
