More than €500 million requested in Horizon 2020 energy funding

INEA has received 69 project proposals by the deadline of 5 February for the H2020 Energy call on Energy Systems and Smart Cities and Communities. They have requested €501.3 million, while the available EU funding is €183.6 million.

The projects will now be assessed and the results of the selection will be announced to the applicants no later than 8 July 2019.

The selection of projects will be done by external independent experts. These evaluators are drawn from the European Commission's database.
