CEF Telecom
Since its launch in 2013, the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) has been a key funding instrument supporting the development of high performing, sustainable and efficiently interconnected trans-European networks in the areas of transport, energy and telecommunications.
In the area of telecommunications, the deployment of Digital Service Infrastructures (DSIs) supports the development and smooth functioning of the DSM by facilitating delivery of trans-European digital services for citizens, business and/or governments, and supporting digital cross-border public services.
INEA
Since 2014, the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) has been implementing the CEF Programme via grants. For CEF Telecom, this includes managing calls for proposals and external evaluations for generic services, and the subsequent technical and financial follow up of the selected actions with the beneficiaries. Forty six calls for proposals from five CEF Telecom Annual Work Programmes (WP2014-2018) have been published so far, making available a budget of nearly 300M€.
