18 transport research projects working on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Connected Vehicles are meeting at INEA today to discuss cooperation opportunities in the areas of common interest.
The Horizon 2020 Smart, green and integrated transport challenge addresses Intelligent Transport Systems and Services (C-ITS) as key innovation to enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability of the European transport system, and to provide seamless travel opportunities for citizens.
Projects selected for EU funding under this challenge have collaborated since 2015 to fully exploit synergies in the different areas of ICT research and operation in multimodal traffic and transport. Areas of common interest include open data, V2X applications beyond day one, and the organisation of pilots.
In today's workshop, project teams will take stock of the achievements of the Horizon 2020 ITS and Connected Vehicles cooperation, and will define future cooperation opportunities in the areas of common interest.
The workshop's participants represent ADASANDME, AutoMate, BONVOYAGE, CIMEC, CODECS, DORA, ETC, EuTravel, HIGHTS, ITS Observatory, MASAI, MAVEN, OPTIMUM, PASSME, ROADART, SocialCar, TIMON and VI-DAS projects.
