For almost three decades, the European Aeronautics Days (Aerodays) has been the leading event in aviation research and innovation, mirroring the priorities and strategies set within the European Union's Research Framework Programmes.
This year's 8th edition will take place from 27 to 30 May in Bucharest, Romania and is co-organised by the European Commission and the Romanian Presidency of the European Council. It will provide a platform to share and review the latest developments in aeronautics and air transport across the European Union, further strengthening its leadership on a highly competitive and strategic international market.
Do not miss the 29 May session (08:30 to 09:30) chaired by INEA Director Dirk Beckers and dedicated to "Ensuring safety and security". The session will address the important aspects related to safety and security in the aviation sector.
The same afternoon (14:00 to 15:30), Alan Haigh, Head of INEA's Horizon 2020 Department, will co-chair a session on "Disruptive game changers". It will look into the important aspects related to game-changers to accelerate point to point connections, i.e. urban, regional and continental air travel.
You can also come find out how the agency supports aviation research at the joint European Commission stand.
Ten Horizon 2020 aviation projects will participate in the event as well, exhibiting mock-ups and demonstrating how EU funding helps bring aviation research forward.
