Almost €39 million requested for CEF Telecom projects

The Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) has received 52 project proposals by the 15 December deadline for the third 2016 CEF Telecom call for proposals (Automated Translation, Cyber Security, eInvoicing and Europeana), requesting almost €39 million in total EU funding. The total available budget for the calls is €27.5 million. Evaluation of the project proposals with the help of external experts will start in January.

The 2016-3 CEF Telecom calls closed today 15 December with INEA receiving 52 project proposals in total for Automated Translation, Cyber Security, eInvoicing and Europeana (breakdown below).

Admissibility and eligibility of the project proposals will now be checked and the proposals will then be evaluated against the specific award criteria of the calls. The evaluation process, which will involve external experts, is expected to be concluded by May when the final results will be announced.
