159 proposals submitted for H2020 funding for energy projects

INEA has received 159 project proposals by yesterday's deadline of two Competitive Low-Carbon topics, focusing on renewable energy systems integrated in buildings (LC-SC3-RES-4-2018) and improving renewable technologies (LC-SC3-RES-11-2018 ).

The proposals will be evaluated in a two-stage selection process. The initial evaluation will start now. By 30 April 2018 the applicants will be informed if their proposal was successful. If so, they will be invited to submit a full project proposal by 23 August 2108 at 5 PM (CET). The results of the final selection will be known by 23 January 2019 at the latest.  (See the image below)

The total indicative budget is €57.5 million. According to estimates, up to twelve projects, six for each topic, may be funded through these funds.

The selection of projects will be done by external independent experts. These evaluators are drawn from the European Commission's database. The Commission is looking to expand the database through a call for experts covering a very broad range of fields.
