The Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) has received 43 project proposals by the 19 May deadline for the 2016 CEF Telecom first call for proposals (CEF-TC-2016-1) requesting €29.6 million in total EU funding. The total available budget for the call is €32 million. Evaluation of the project proposals with the help of external experts will start early next month.
The first 2016 CEF Telecom call closed today 19 May 2016 at 17:00 (Brussels time) with INEA receiving 43 project proposals under three calls:

Admissibility and eligibility of the project proposals will now be checked and the proposals will then be evaluated against the specific award criteria of the calls. The evaluation process, which will involve external experts, is expected to be concluded by August, when the final results will be announced.
