The Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) has received 102 project proposals by yesterday's deadline for two CEF Transport calls.
2017 CEF Transport Blending call
69 project proposals were received for the second (and last) cut-off date of the 2017 CEF Transport Blending call in 11 priority areas covering all transport modes, infrastructure, as well as multimodal logistics platforms.
Applicants requested a total of €1 billion EU funding for a remaining budget of €350 million available for the second cut-off date of the blending call. Selected projects are expected to blend CEF support with other funding sources, including the European Fund for Strategic Investment (EFSI).
2017 CEF Transport SESAR call
33 project proposals were submitted for the 2017 CEF Transport SESAR call that will fund deployment of new and mature technologies and practices supporting harmonised Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems and standards in Europe.
Applicants requested a total of €407 million EU funding, whereas the available call budget is €290 million.
What are the next steps?
Admissibility and eligibility checks of the proposals will start on 16 April and evaluations by external experts on 4 May. Evaluation results will be announced in October 2018 at the latest.
