The Action comprises preliminary and detailed designs for the modernisation of Pardubice junction, the Česká Třebová junction and the Ústí nad Orlicí–Choceň railway track section. These sections are located on the Praha-Brno line, part of the the Praha-Brno-Breclav pre-identified section, and are the only remaining sections yet to be modernised.

The Action is part of a Global Project addressing the modernisation of the railway line Praha–Brno, located on both the Orient/East-Med and the Rhine-Danube core network corridors.

Once completed, the Action will improve the technical condition and parameters of the line, including speed, capacity, accessibility and safety. It will therefore contribute to interoperability and increase service quality on the network.
