The E67 road forms part of the Via Baltica connecting Tallinn, Riga, Kaunas and Warsaw and is part of the North Sea-Baltic Core Network Corridor.

The Action features the upgrade of the Panevezys bypass, around 22 km long, on the cross-border section between Vilnius and the Latvian Border. The Action includes reconstruction and widening of the existing road, elimination or improvement of intersections and implementation of environmental and safety measures.

Outcomes of the Action would contribute to removal of a bottleneck on said cross-border section.
