The objective of the Action was to continue and develop further, based on the existing national Safer Internet Centre, a national platform closely linked to the core service platform to run a range of Safer Internet services providing:

1. An Awareness Centre for informing children, their parents, grandparents and teachers about better and safer use of the internet, building on enhanced digital resource centres (repositories), from which specific awareness toolkits and services are adapted and deployed, in cooperation with third parties (schools, industry, other networking partners).
2. User-friendly hotline services for receiving and managing reports and data on child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
3. Helpline services (by telephone and online) for children and parents for reporting and dealing with harmful contact (e.g. grooming, online abuse), offensive conduct (e.g. cyberbullying, hate speech, sexting) and undesirable or harmful content.

The beneficiaries further developed their role of providing generic services and closely coordinated their activities with the core service platform and with the Insafe and INHOPE networks.
