The beneficiary acts as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) and as the National Competent Authority (NCA) under the NIS Directive in Cyprus. It will develop a software platform to increase its capacity to effectively undertake the liaison, regulation and enforcement obligations set out in the Directive, i.e. management of the various supervised entities that fall under its jurisdiction – operators of essential services (OES), operators of critical information infrastructures (OCII), and digital service providers (DSP).

The beneficiary has already begun using an interim software platform for some of the functions, e.g. incident notifications, risk management, etc. Under the Action this platform will be further developed into a comprehensive, effective, efficient and holistic platform. The developed platform will contribute to the improvement of the effectiveness of the beneficiary in managing and assessing the network and information systems security of OES, OCIIs and DSPs, and it will also provide such supervised entities with a valuable tool for tracking their own risk and compliance obligations. Moreover, it will optimise stakeholders' involvement in the activities of the beneficiary, enhance its monitoring and assist with reporting to the stakeholders.
