The CEF eID Digital Service Infrastructure (DSI) allows citizens of one European country to use their national eIDs to securely access services provided in other European countries. CEF eID grants support the Member States in the roll-out of the eIDAS Network and connection of online services to this network, making these services accessible across borders and allowing them to enjoy the legal recognition brought by eIDAS.
This Action aims to set up an eIDAS gateway (eIDAS node) according to the latest technical specifications and integrate it with the Latvian Unified Authentication Module to enable cross-border authentication for EU/EEA citizens in accordance with the eIDAS Regulation. The eIDAS gateway will be tested for the interconnection with other EU Member States and launched in production.
The Action will also adjust and test two e-services: “Informative certificate of permitted usage of land unit according to spatial plan” as a part of TAPIS ("Spatial Development Planning Information System") and "Submission of an application for a residence permit" to demonstrate e-service connection to the eIDAS node for the service providers. It will further develop eIDAS Profile Registry to support all e-services provided by the Latvian state authorities in their integration with the eIDAS node and cross-border authentication.
