The CEF eHealth DSI supports actions aiming to set up the necessary infrastructure for the exchange of health data across national borders within the EU and for the provision of interoperable eHealth services.

The ERN RITA (European Reference Network on immunodeficiency, auto inflammatory and autoimmune diseases) was set up in 2017 in accordance with Directive 2011/24/EU. The overall goal of the ERN RITA is to improve access to high-quality healthcare for patients with immunodeficiency, auto inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.

This Action has achieved its objectives to support the members of ERN RITA and to ensure adequate and efficient use of the core service platform, i.e. the European Reference Networks Collaborative Platform (ECP) and Clinical Patient Management System (CPMS).

In particular, the Action set up an Operational Helpdesk, adjusted to the specific needs of ERN RITA, that supports the multidisciplinary healthcare teams in the organization of their daily work regarding cases reviewed by the ERN and provided necessary training for the use of ERN Core Services to relevant staff within the health care institutions.
