The CEF eHealth DSI supports Actions aiming to set up the necessary infrastructure for the exchange of health data across national borders within Europe and for the provision of interoperable eHealth services.

This action aims to support Spain’s efforts to be part of a secure peer-to-peer network allowing the exchange of Patient Summaries (PS) and ePrescriptions (eP). These services will be approved and deployed according to the following release plan:

• In 2020 Patient Summary service, as region where the patient is affiliated or treated.
• In 2021 ePrescription service, as region where medications are prescribed or dispensed.

The action is technically based on PS and eP national and regional projects that are already at an operational level.

At the end of the action, the region of Andalusia will be ready to take part in the EU-wide exchange of Patient Summary and ePrescription through the Spanish National Contact Point for eHealth (NCPeH).
