The CEF eHealth DSI supports Actions aiming to set up the necessary infrastructure for the exchange of health data across national borders within the EU and for the provision of interoperable eHealth services.

This specific Action will support the preparation, testing, deployment, and operation of the cross-border service for the exchange of ePrescription / eDispensation via the National Contact Point for eHealth (NCPeH). This Action complements the on-going CEF funded Action 2015-CZ-IA-0067, which focuses on preparation, testing, deployment and operation of the NCPeH for the provision of the Patient Summary as country where the patient is affiliated or treated.

The above mentioned service will be approved and deployed according to the following release plan:

-2020: ePrescription as country where medications are prescribed or dispensed.

This Action will allow Czech Republic’s to become part of a secure peer-to-peer network allowing the exchange of ePrescriptions across Europe, contributing to patient safety and provide medical personnel with essential medical patient data. It will also broaden the level of care provided to European citizens visiting the Czech Republic, in line with the 2011/24/EU directive, as well as to better support Czech citizens’ health information needs while travelling in European countries.
