The CEF eInvoicing building block supports public administrations in complying with eInvoicing Directive 2014/55/EU, in particular new European standard on electronic invoicing (EN).

The Action's objective is to ensure the compliance of the Lithuanian national eInvoicing solution (e-sąskaita) with the Directive 2014/55/EU on eInvoicing. The Action will implement the European eInvoicing standard in the existing national eInvoicing e-sąskaita solution (that enables submission of eInvoices to public institutions) by developing and deploying eInvoicing and eDelivery Digital Service Infrastructure (DSI) building blocks. In particular the Action will:
- develop and deploy the eDelivery building block (AS4 Access Point and SMP) to enable data communication transfers; the Access Point deployed as part of this action will be registered with OpenPeppol.

- develop and install the eInvoicing technical solution (in the form of the adapter) that will ensure the conformance of the national eInvoicing solution e-sąskaita to the European eInvoicing standard. This eInvoicing adapter will enable eInvoices received to be conformant with the European eInvoicing standard in the required formats using the eDelivery infrastructure.
