The Mobility Partnership Facility (MPF) is an EU-funded initiative contributing to the operationalisation of the Global Approach to Migration and Mobility (GAMM). This initiative will also strengthen the cooperation between the European Union (EU) and partner countries that signed a Mobility Partnership (MP) or a Common Agenda on Migration and Mobility (CAMM) (so far: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Cape Verde, Georgia, Jordan, Morocco, Moldova and Tunisia for MPs and Ethiopia, India and Nigeria for CAMMs), in the area of migration and mobility.
Budget: € 5.5 million from three different funds
Duration: 35 months as of 1 January 2016
The MPF is funded by the European Commission and implemented by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) for a duration of 35 months. The MPF is funded from the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), the Internal Security Fund for Police Cooperation (ISF-Police) and the Internal Security Fund for Borders and Visa (ISF-Borders and Visa).

Actions proposed by EU Member States
The priorities of actions to be implemented under the MPF will be identified by EU MS in close cooperation with MP/CAMM partner countries. Following a Call for Proposals with an open deadline, public bodies of EU MS will submit their applications. If the proposed actions are recommended for a grant award, ICMPD will sign a Grant Contract with the applicants. The applicants will then implement the action, in partnership with the partner country and/or other EU MS public bodies, and according to the Grant Contract. ICMPD will monitor and evaluate the implementation of activities carried out under Grant Contracts through a well-established methodology and on-spot missions.
Direct implementation by ICMPD
In case a particular need arises, which could only be adequately addressed through the MPF, but no EU MS is in a position or available to implement a specific action, ICMPD can exceptionally be tasked by the Steering Committee with direct implementation of that action.
A Call for Proposals with an open deadline is published on the ICMPD website.
